Suncorp/Tyndall Investment Management has appointed Ms Jo Morgan as head of marketing. Ms Morgan has 11 years experience in financial services marketing, working with GIO Australia, ANZ Investments, AMP Financial Planning and, most recently, Perpetual as senior manager, channel strategy.

In these roles she has developed specialist expertise across a range of financial services marketing disciplines, including product communication, channel marketing, and brand development and management.

Mr Brett Himbury, managing director of Suncorp/Tyndall, described Ms Morgan as a perfect fit for the business that will help broaden the penetration of the Suncorp and Tyndall funds.

“We have taken our time in finding the right person for this role to ensure we recruited someone who not only had the essential skills and experience to drive our marketing efforts, but could also strengthen our team.

“It follows the appointments last year of Justin Cowper as head of institution and Craig Hobart as head of retail, and rounds off the marketing and distribution activities of our merged fund management activities.

“Jo therefore forms the third component of an extremely strong marketing and distribution approach developed since the merger of the Tyndall and Suncorp businesses. She brings an impressive track record, and insight into customer and market needs, to our organisation.

“In particular, her background of working internally with advisers during her time at AMP Financial Planning, and experience in strategic planning and team leadership at Perpetual, is precisely what our expanded business needs to consolidate, co-ordinate and further develop our communication activities,” Mr Himbury said.

Ms Morgan has a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University and a Diploma of Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia, and this year completes a Masters of Applied Finance in Investments.
